How All Forward Experiences Work

All Forward tailors multi-activity experiences based on six pillars that reawaken the senses and motivate people to move forward.

What are the six pillars?

MOVE to give the body and mind an opportunity to REST, reflect and recharge. LEARN new tangible and intangible skills that GROW the ability to contribute and collaborate. FUEL oneself to enable GIVING that moves the individual, the organization and the community forward.

Experience
Multi-layer
Immersion

Move

Participants get moving via hiking, cycling, kayaking, canoeing, snow-shoeing, paddle boarding and yoga. We also visit destinations via rail.

Learn

In addition to acquiring new skills, participants gain knowledge and preserve local history, environment (Leave Not Trace) and the arts.

Fuel

We feed people’s minds, souls and bodies with farm-to-table fare raised from the area’s rich landscape of farms, markets, and restaurants.

Rest

From camping to historic inns, participants recharge in unique environments that contribute to the overall experience and encourage reflection.

Grow

Programming in well-being, leadership development, team building and engagement helps participants organically build resiliency and collaboration.

Give

Interactions with small businesses and nonprofits provide a broader view of the region, spotlight important issues and instill the spirit of how to make a lasting impact on people, community and environment.

Create Your Experience

Every experience is customized to meet your needs, objectives and the interests and physical abilities of the participants in your group. Ideal group size is 8-10 people and excursions can be ½-day, full-day or multi-day experiences. We can work with larger groups to accommodate your needs. All experiences have a high impact on people and communities with low impact on the environment – small groups, local foods and avoiding car travel when possible.

All Forward experiences enable people to:

Be outside. Move physically. Try something new. Experience benefits of well-being, leadership and/or team building with their groups. Impact the community.

Programming can range from simple prompts and reflection to more formal structured activities.

  • Well-Being - Self-Awareness, Reflection and Clarity, Connection & Appreciation of Nature, Endurance – Physical & Mental Challenges

  • Leadership - Cultivate Leadership Skills in Unconventional Environments, Feedback, Idea Generation, Values/Culture

  • Team Building - Trust Building, Building Community, Communication Skills, Volunteer Projects with Nonprofits

All experiences will have components of local food, history and environmental appreciation/ stewardship that highlight small businesses and nonprofits.
